🙏 Significance of Putrada Ekadashi:

‘Putrada’ means "the one who grants sons."

This Ekadashi is considered highly auspicious for couples who wish to conceive a child.

It is believed that fasting and worshipping Lord Vishnu on this day can bless devotees with progeny and absolve sins from previous births.

📖 Putrada Ekadashi Vrat Katha (Fasting Story):

According to the Puranas, a king named Sukhaldatta once ruled the kingdom of Mahishmati. He and his queen were childless. Despite performing numerous yajnas (sacrificial rituals) and making donations, they remained without a child.

Saddened, the king went into the forest to meditate. There, he met some sages who told him about the significance of Shravan Putrada Ekadashi.

He observed the Ekadashi fast with full devotion and worshipped Lord Vishnu.

In time, he was blessed with a wise and righteous son. Since then, this Ekadashi has been considered powerful for fulfilling desires of childbearing and family happiness.

🛕 Puja Vidhi (Worship Rituals):

Wake up early, bathe, and take a vow to fast.

Adorn the idol of Lord Vishnu in yellow clothes and offer flowers, sandalwood paste, tulsi leaves, incense, and lamps.

Chant the mantra: “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.”

Avoid consuming grains or water (depending on your fasting capacity) or observe a fruit-based fast.

Stay awake at night and recite the Vishnu Sahasranama (1000 names of Lord Vishnu).

On Dwadashi (the next day), feed Brahmins and then break your fast.
