Amber Fort, also known as Amer Fort, is one of the most iconic and majestic forts in India, located just 11 km from Jaipur, Rajasthan. Built in 1592 by Raja Man Singh I, the fort served as the royal residence of the Kachwaha Rajput rulers. Perched atop a hill, it offers breathtaking views of Maota Lake and the surrounding Aravalli Hills.

The fort is a brilliant example of Rajput and Mughal architecture, constructed using red sandstone and white marble. Visitors are mesmerized by attractions like the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Ganesh Pol, Diwan-i-Aam, and Sukh Niwas, each echoing stories of royal splendor. A light and sound show, panoramic views, and a glimpse into Rajasthan’s regal past make Amber Fort a must-visit destination. Recognized by UNESCO as part of the “Hill Forts of Rajasthan”, it continues to be a highlight of Jaipur’s cultural heritage.
