The same account adds: According to the state government’s Department of Information and Public Relations, the recoveries were made either through voluntary deposits or by crediting money into electronic cash ledgers during survey and inspection action.

The latest round of action is part of a broader effort to protect revenue at a time when tax authorities across India are focusing more closely on input tax credit mismatches, unaccounted stock and sales suppression.

The department said the cases examined in Rajasthan included possible unbilled purchases and sales, discrepancies between declared and physical inventory, and irregular claims of input tax credit under the GST framework.
