Goa has set a new record in tourist arrivals during the first half of 2025. According to the state’s tourism department, a total of 5.455 million tourists visited Goa between January and June. This included 5.184 million domestic tourists and 271,000 international tourists.

January turned out to be the most successful month with 1.056 million arrivals. This was followed by 905,000 in February, 889,000 in March, 842,000 in April, 927,000 in May, and 834,000 in June.

Goa Tourism Director Kedar Naik said that aggressive promotional campaigns at both domestic and international levels, along with better airports and transport facilities, played a key role in this growth. The department expects the numbers to rise even further in the coming months.
