The Bhopal district administration has issued a prohibitory order banning the manufacture, storage, sale, and purchase of carbide guns and noisy firecrackers made using explosive materials. The decision follows incidents in which several children sustained serious eye injuries while playing with such devices. Officials stated that the move aims to protect citizens from hazardous materials and prevent potential mishaps during the festive season. The administration has warned that any violation of the order will attract strict legal action under the relevant sections of the Explosives Act and the Indian Penal Code. Authorities have also urged parents and shopkeepers to discourage the use of unsafe fireworks and promote safer alternatives to ensure a peaceful celebration.
