The World Aquatics Championships 2025, currently underway in Singapore, mark a historic moment as Southeast Asia hosts this prestigious global aquatic event for the first time.

Spanning from 11 July to 3 August, the championship features over 2,500 elite athletes from more than 210 countries, competing in six major disciplines: swimming, diving, high diving, water polo, open water swimming, and artistic swimming. Events are spread across iconic venues like the OCBC Aquatic Centre, Sentosa’s Palawan Beach, and the newly constructed WCH Arena at Singapore Sports Hub. The championship is already witnessing breathtaking moments, including Germany’s Florian Wellbrock clinching gold in the men’s 10km open water swim, and 12-year-old Chinese prodigy Yu Zidi making headlines with Olympic-level performances. The event not only showcases world-class sportsmanship and technological innovation but also reflects the growing global diversity and youth power in aquatic sports.
