The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has officially released the final date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations for the academic year 2025–26. In a significant change from previous years, the board exams will begin nearly one month earlier, starting on February 12, 2026, according to the revised schedule.

As per the announcement, the RBSE Class 10 examinations will be conducted from February 12 to February 28, 2026. Meanwhile, the Class 12 board exams will commence on the same day, February 12, and continue until March 11, 2026. The exams will be held in offline, pen-and-paper mode across examination centres in Rajasthan.

Education officials said the decision to advance the examination schedule was taken to streamline the academic calendar and ensure timely declaration of results. In recent years, board examinations were typically held in March or April, with results often stretching into late May or June. By moving the exams earlier, the board aims to give students more time for college admissions, competitive examinations, and supplementary exams if required.

The early schedule, however, has triggered mixed reactions among students and teachers. While some have welcomed the move, citing reduced academic delays and better planning for higher education, others have expressed concern about reduced preparation time. Several schools are now expected to adjust their teaching schedules, revision plans, and pre-board examinations accordingly.

RBSE officials have assured students that the syllabus remains unchanged and that adequate time will be provided for revision within schools. The board has advised schools to complete the syllabus well in advance and focus on revision, practice tests, and doubt-clearing sessions in the coming months.

Students appearing for the Class 12 examinations — particularly those from science and commerce streams — will need to plan carefully, as the earlier exam dates may overlap with preparation timelines for national-level entrance exams. Education experts have suggested that students create structured study plans and prioritise core subjects to manage the compressed timeline effectively.

With the board exams now less than a year away, schools across Rajasthan are gearing up to realign their academic strategies. Parents have also been urged to support students by helping them manage stress and maintain a balanced routine during the accelerated preparation phase.
