Big Step on Russia-Ukraine War: Trump Brings Hope, Putin and Zelenskyy to Meet Face-to-Face Soon

A major turning point may come in the effort to end the long-standing war between Russia and Ukraine. U.S. President Donald Trump, after the White House summit, announced that he is preparing to arrange a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Trump revealed that he has recently had direct talks with President Putin, and the process of bringing both leaders face-to-face has already begun. Although the venue for the meeting has not yet been decided, Trump’s goal is to hold this meeting by the end of August.

After a long discussion with Zelenskyy at the White House, Trump said—
"We are taking the first steps towards peace. I spoke with Putin and have started the process of arranging direct talks between him and President Zelenskyy. Following that, there will also be a trilateral meeting in which I will participate as well."

Trump’s announcement is being seen as a new turning point in the Russia-Ukraine war. If this meeting takes place, it could be considered the biggest step yet towards ending the conflict.
