Over 700 Bengaluru Schools Kick Off Climate Action Clubs for a Greener Future

Bengaluru is witnessing a climate-conscious revolution in its classrooms—over 700 schools and pre-university colleges across the city have formed Climate Action Clubs, spearheaded by the BBMP Climate Action Cell under Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar’s guidance. These student‑led clubs bring climate education to life through hands‑on activities, including green audits, water conservation drives, waste and energy management, inter‑school challenges, and community outreach. Launched ahead of World Environment Day 2025, the initiative aims to nurture environmental leadership and empower youth as local champions of sustainability.
