This initiative, aimed at paying tribute to Mother Earth, is part of a broader movement that has already seen over 1.2 million trees planted across the city.

Union Environment Minister Bhupendra Yadav applauded the effort, describing it as a "priceless gift to the Earth". He also suggested that the drive could become a world record holder for sapling survival rate, with early figures showing a remarkable 90% survival rate. The plantation included climate-resilient species and was carried out with active community participation—featuring students, volunteers, and civic bodies.

Indore’s example shines as a model for sustainable urban development, showing how cities can take real action against climate change while also creating green, livable spaces for future generations.
