Today’s education landscape highlights key developments across India. Chandigarh has topped the national PGI 2.0 rankings, scoring 703 points thanks to strong infrastructure, digital attendance systems, and inclusive education efforts.

In Maharashtra, the implementation of the new three-language policy has hit a roadblock as textbooks for the third language are delayed by up to three months, disrupting learning in many schools. Meanwhile, Karnataka has issued notices to underperforming schools after disappointing SSLC-1 results.
On a positive note, Bihar has launched a massive recruitment drive for 7,279 special school teachers, aiming to boost inclusive education. Delhi has also opened online registrations for admissions to government and aided special schools from nursery to class XII, with allotments to begin from July 11.
Globally, a new report backed by Nobel laureate Joseph Stiglitz and Pope Francis calls for debt relief in developing nations to protect education and healthcare investments.
These updates show both challenges and progress in the education sector, emphasizing the need for systemic improvements and inclusive approaches nationwide.
