A major fraud case has been registered against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra, accused of cheating Mumbai-based businessman Deepak Kothari out of ₹60 crore. 

The complaint, filed with the Mumbai Police, claims that the couple, along with an associate, conspired to mislead and defraud him in a business deal linked to their now-defunct home shopping television channel, Best Deal TV Pvt. Ltd. The alleged fraud took place over a period from 2015 to 2023, with Kothari asserting that promised returns and agreements were never honoured. Authorities are investigating the case, which has drawn significant public attention due to the high-profile nature of those involved.
